Job Summary –
Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment, such as generators, forklift and shovels. To perform maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires. Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors for heavy equipment such as generators, forklift and shovels. Perform periodic preventive maintenance such as cleaning, inspection and lubrication all parts of heavy equipment
Responsibilities –
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming at equipment functionality and longevity.
2. React effectively to technical support of field equipment breakdowns in timely manner in and out of working hours when required.
3. Performs routine mechanical maintenance and repair work install/replace hydraulic, pneumatic components.
4. Maintaining accurate records relating to heavy equipment, parts, and service history by performing regular inspections, safety checks and regulated equipment examinations.
5. Using shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and breakdown repairs as needed
6. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe workplace.
7. Adhering to safety procedures and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
8. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
9. Able to assist and repair of mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, and rotating machinery, following technical specifications and safety protocols.
Job Specifications –
Education: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience (Type & Duration) Minimum +5 Years as mechanical technician in similar factory Preferable +7 Years as mechanical technician in similar factory
Required Skills / Competencies Ability to perform work accurately & independently. Good written and oral communication in English. Team work with ability to work under pressure.
Desired Certification/Job Specific Skills/Training Diploma or equivalent as a Mechanical Technician/ Proven experience & Knowledge in heavy equipment tools/equipment & able to work independently. Good written and oral communication in English &able to communicate in Arabic as well. 3-5 years’ hand experience of working with mechanical equipment maintenance in similar factory.
