Job Summary
The Project Planner & Cost Control Specialist supports successful project delivery through effective planning, cost control, and data-driven analysis. The role leverages Microsoft Power Platform tools—particularly Power BI and Power Apps—to monitor performance, manage budgets, and provide actionable insights to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
*Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (MS Project, Primavera).
*Define WBS, tasks, and resource requirements.
*Monitor progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
Cost Control & Financial Management
*Prepare and control project budgets and forecasts.
*Analyze cost variances and support financial reporting and invoicing.
*Ensure adherence to cost control procedures.
Data Analysis & Reporting
*Collect and analyze project data (cost, schedule, resources, KPIs).
*Develop Power BI dashboards and automate reporting processes.
*Perform root cause analysis and present insights to stakeholders.
Power Platform Development
*Build and maintain Power Apps solutions to streamline workflows.
*Enhance Power BI data models and integrate with Microsoft 365 tools.
Stakeholder Support
*Prepare management reports and presentations.
*Train and support users on Power BI and Power Apps solutions.
Qualifications
Essential
*Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
*7–10 years’ experience in project planning and cost control.
*Advanced Excel and strong Power BI (DAX, data modeling) skills.
*Experience developing applications using Power Apps.
*Strong knowledge of project management principles (PMI, PRINCE2, or similar).
Desirable
*PMP, PRINCE2, or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
*Experience with SQL, Python, R, or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
*Knowledge of predictive analytics in project environments.
