We are looking for a hands-on Chemical Dosing Technician to join our water treatment and bottling operations in Bahrain.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, mix and dilute water treatment chemicals (antiscalant, sodium hypochlorite, SMBS, acid, caustic soda) to approved concentrations.
Operate and calibrate dosing pumps; adjust injection rates based on feed and product water quality.
Perform daily water quality tests — TDS, pH, free chlorine, hardness, ORP — and record results in operating logs.
Monitor RO units, sand and carbon filters and softeners; carry out backwashing and brine regeneration.
Execute membrane Clean-In-Place (CIP) cycles as per the preventive maintenance schedule.
Track chemical stock levels, raise replenishment requests, and ensure correct storage with segregation of incompatible chemicals.
Follow all HSE procedures, use PPE at all times, apply MSDS requirements and respond to spills.
Perform basic preventive maintenance on dosing pumps, valves and lines; report breakdowns immediately.
Maintain hygiene and food-safety standards applicable to drinking water plants and support QC during sampling and inspections.
Submit a daily shift report covering plant status, chemical consumption and technical observations.
Requirements
Diploma or vocational certificate in Chemistry, Mechanical/Industrial Technology or Water Treatment (or equivalent practical experience).
2–4 years' experience in a water treatment plant, desalination unit or water bottling facility.
Practical knowledge of RO systems, dosing pumps and water quality testing instruments.
Accurate numerical recording and basic computer skills.
Working English (Arabic an advantage) sufficient to understand safety instructions.
Physically fit for shift work in a plant environment.
Valid Health Card.
Candidates currently in Bahrain with a transferable visa/CPR will be prioritised.
