SPMT Engineer (Middle East)
Job Responsibilities

Lead heavy haul transportation project planning and develop technical solutions; utilize professional drafting software to prepare technical drawings. Optimize transportation routes, equipment configurations, and loading/unloading methods to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.

Oversee full project execution and provide technical support and guidance. Supervise equipment operations, cargo loading/unloading procedures, and ensure compliance with technical standards. Promptly resolve technical issues and optimize plans to ensure projects progress according to schedule.

Based on transportation requirements and considering terrain and geotechnical conditions, complete the design, structural verification, and optimization of temporary support piles for transportation. Ensure pile strength and stability meet load-bearing requirements to guarantee safe and controlled transport operations.

Technical Documentation & Knowledge Development: Prepare SPMT equipment operation manuals, maintenance procedures, transportation method statements, and support pile design drawings. Summarize project experience, extract key technical insights, and participate in developing and improving company technical standards and workflows.

Cross-Department Coordination & Technical Support: Work closely with project management and construction teams to define technical requirements and execution standards. Provide technical training and guidance on SPMT equipment operation, support pile design, and heavy haul transportation.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the heavy haul transportation industry, including at least 5 years of hands-on SPMT operational experience and project leadership. In-depth understanding of SPMT structural principles and operating mechanisms.

Strong knowledge of support pile design, with the ability to develop structural designs based on survey data and cargo parameters. Proficient in at least one professional drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

Excellent heavy transport planning capabilities, with the ability to develop safe, economical, and feasible transportation solutions based on route conditions, terrain, and equipment status.

Extensive on-site project management and technical supervision experience in heavy haul transportation. Ability to respond quickly to unexpected site issues and implement effective solutions. Willingness to travel extensively and remain on-site for project execution.

Professional Knowledge Base: Solid foundation in mechanics, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, and logistics/transportation engineering. Familiar with national standards, industry regulations, and safety management requirements related to heavy transportation.
