Quality Assurance And Control For Landscaping & Irrigation Projects

Role Description:
We are looking for a Tendering and Cost Engineer with Landscaping knowledge who will be responsible for ensuring that all landscaping and irrigation works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and relevant international and local standards. The role includes inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination with consultants, clients, and site teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance
• Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
• Develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
• Review and approve material submittals and method statements.
• Conduct internal quality audits.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.

Quality Control – Irrigation Works
• Inspect installation of irrigation pipelines (HDPE/PVC), valves, sprinklers, drip systems, and pump stations.
• Witness hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, and system commissioning.
• Ensure proper pipe alignment, depth, and backfilling.
• Monitor HDPE welding (butt fusion/electrofusion).
• Issue and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Quality Control – Landscaping Works
• Inspect soil preparation, grading, planting, and turfing works.
• Monitor hardscape works including interlock, kerbstones, and concrete.
• Verify plant quality and compliance with approved plant schedules.
• Ensure proper curing and finishing of hardscape elements.

Documentation
• Prepare Inspection Requests (IR) and Material Inspection Reports (MIR).
• Maintain test reports, calibration records, and as-built documentation.
• Submit daily and weekly QA/QC reports.


Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Agricultural / Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in landscaping and irrigation projects.
• Experience in infrastructure or public realm projects preferred.
• ISO 9001 or QA/QC certification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems (drip & sprinkler).
• Familiar with pressure testing and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused mindset.
