Core Responsibilities
Transaction Management: Process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile wallets. Accurately calculate totals, apply discounts or coupons, and provide correct change and receipts.
Order Coordination: Take in-person and phone orders, relaying special dietary requests or modifications to the kitchen staff.
Customer Service: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, answer menu questions, and resolve complaints professionally.
Financial Accountability: Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of every shift, reporting any discrepancies to management.
Facility Support: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area; in some settings, this includes assisting with seating, packaging takeout orders, or light cleaning of the dining area.
