Electrical Panel Board Techician For Busbar Fabrication

A Busbar Technician specializes in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of busbar systems with electrical switchgear and panel,

Fabrication: Measure, cut, drill, punch, bend, and grind copper or aluminum busbars according to precise design specifications.

Assembly & Installation: Install busbar systems into electrical panels, switchgear, or trunking systems, including mounting insulation, supports, and electrical components (e.g., circuit breakers, relays).

Technical Interpretation: Read and understand complex blueprints, single-line diagrams (SLD), and bills of materials (BOM) to guide assembly.

Testing & Quality Control: Perform pre-commissioning checks, such as torque marking, continuity testing, and insulation resistance (Megger) testing, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Maintenance & Safety: Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, maintain organized workspaces, and perform troubleshooting or repairs as needed.

Technical Proficiency: Mastery of busbar fabrication machinery and hand tools.

Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of electrical switchgear components, panel board manufacturing, and earthing requirements.

Education: Typically requires a Diploma in Engineering or an ITI certification (or equivalent technical qualification).

Experience: Generally requires 2–5+ years of experience in electrical switchgear or industrial fabrication environments.

Soft Skills: High attention to detail, ability to follow complex technical instructions, and strong collaboration skills for working with engineers and quality control teams.
