Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Storekeeper to manage inventory and storage operations in our meat processing factory. The ideal candidate will ensure proper handling of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods while maintaining hygiene, safety, and accurate stock records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies.
* Store items according to food safety and company standards (FIFO/FEFO).
* Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damages promptly.
* Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions.
* Ensure cold storage areas are properly organized and temperature-controlled.
* Coordinate with procurement and production departments.
* Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
* Maintain cleanliness and comply with hygiene and food safety regulations.
* Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a storekeeper, preferably in food or meat processing industry.
* Knowledge of inventory control procedures and storage best practices.
* Familiarity with cold storage handling is an advantage.
* Basic computer skills (MS Office / inventory software).
* Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
* Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment.
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
