Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist / Buyer responsible for sourcing products, raw materials, and packaging from China markets. The candidate will manage supplier negotiations, cost control, quality compliance, shipment coordination, and ensure timely procurement aligned with company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Source reliable suppliers and manufacturers in China.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, MOQs, and contracts.
Request and evaluate quotations (RFQ process).
Conduct supplier comparisons and cost analysis.
Coordinate product sampling, approvals, and quality checks.
Monitor production timelines and shipment schedules.
Work closely with freight forwarders for smooth import process.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and documentation requirements.
Maintain updated supplier database and pricing records.
Monitor market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and currency impact.
Handle purchase orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation.
Resolve supplier disputes and quality issues.
Support new product development sourcing from China market.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in international purchasing (China market preferred).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers and factories.
Knowledge of import/export procedures.
Familiar with Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.).
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
Ability to analyze cost structures and manage budgets.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in perfumes, cosmetics, chemicals, or packaging industry.
Basic knowledge of Mandarin (added advantage).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to travel internationally if required.
