Appearance: Usually tan, brown, or black, with a waxy or scaly texture and a slightly raised or flat surface. They can resemble warts or moles.
Location: Most commonly found on the face, neck, chest, back, and shoulders.
Benign: They are not cancerous and do not pose a health risk.
Age: They become more common with age.
Symptoms: Usually painless, but may become itchy or irritated.
Treatment: Generally, treatment is not needed, but removal may be considered for cosmetic reasons or if the growth becomes irritated or painful.
