Job Summary
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) woodworking machines to produce high-quality joinery components based on technical drawings and design specifications. The role requires precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation
o
Operate CNC machines (e.g., CNC routers, beam saws, boring machines) for wood processing.
o
Load programs and input production data using CNC software.
o
Set up tools, fixtures, and materials accurately before starting operations.

Production Execution
o
Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and cutting lists for accurate machining.
o
Monitor the machining process and adjust as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
o
Maintain consistent output as per production schedules and priorities.

Quality Control
•
Inspect processed parts for accuracy using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, tape measures).
•
Identify and report any defects, deviations, or machine issues to the supervisor.
•
Maintain high standards of finishing and tolerance.
Machine Maintenance
•
Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance of CNC equipment.
•
Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
•
Report any mechanical or software problems to maintenance or technical teams.
Health & Safety
•
Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
•
High School Diploma or Technical Certificate in Carpentry, Wood Technology, or CNC Operation.
•
Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC machines in a woodworking or joinery environment.
•
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM files.
•
Familiarity with CNC programming software (e.g., AutoCAD, WoodWOP, AlphaCAM, or similar).
•
Knowledge of different wood materials, panels, and cutting techniques.
