Job Summary
The Joinery Cutting List Maker is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cutting lists based on approved shop drawings, project specifications, and material requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth and efficient production processes in the joinery workshop by providing precise dimensions and quantities for material preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret architectural and joinery shop drawings to extract material and component dimensions.

Prepare accurate cutting lists for various joinery items such as doors, cabinets, wardrobes, panels, and furniture.

Coordinate with designers, draftsmen, and production teams to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies.

Ensure material optimization to reduce waste and enhance production efficiency.

Provide clear labeling and identification of each item in the cutting list for easier tracking and assembly.

Update cutting lists as needed based on design changes, site conditions, or supervisor feedback.

Maintain a record of cutting lists and revisions for project documentation.

Work closely with the CNC programmer and machine operators to ensure alignment with machine capabilities and limitations.
Quality Control
Inspect work-in-progress and completed products for quality, finish, and consistency.
Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions promptly.
Ensure finished items meet client expectations, project requirements, and internal quality benchmarks.
Qualifications

High school diploma or technical certification in woodworking, carpentry, or drafting.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a joinery or woodworking environment.

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and joinery details.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software is an advantage.

Good mathematical and measurement skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and material efficiency.

Effective communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills

Familiarity with different wood materials and panel types (MDF, plywood, veneer,)

Experience working with ERP or production planning systems.

Understanding of CNC machining processes.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
