Fire Alarm Technician

Role Summary:
This role focuses on the "Extra Low Voltage" (ELV) side of fire life safety. The technician will manage the addressable fire alarm network and critical gas detection systems to ensure early warning and plant protection.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fire Alarm Systems: Conduct functional testing of addressable smoke, heat, duct, and flame detectors.
• Gas-Based Suppression: Maintain the electronic release sequences for FM-200, Novec 1230, and CO2 systems in server and electrical rooms.
• Panel Management: Maintain Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP), repeater panels, and power supply units.
• Fault Finding: Identify and resolve loop faults, ground faults, and communication errors within the addressable network.
• Compliance: Ensure all testing is documented according to NFPA standards and local civil defense regulations.
Technical Requirements:
• Expertise in Addressable Fire Alarm platforms (e.g., Notifier or similar).
• Experience in calibrating industrial gas detectors (H2 & CH4).
• Proficiency in using loop testers and multimeters for troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
• Technical Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or Electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial fire detection systems.


Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician

Role Summary:
The ESS Technician is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of integrated security platforms. The role ensures that the plant’s surveillance, access control, and perimeter intrusion detection systems are operational 24/7 to meet stringent industrial security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Surveillance Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot IP-based CCTV systems, including Fixed, Bullet, and PTZ cameras, along with Video Management Software (VMS) and Network Video Recorders (NVR).
• Access Control: Service and repair door controllers, RFID card readers, magnetic locks, and emergency break-glass units.
• Perimeter Security: Maintain Fiber Optic Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS) and ensure sensing cables are functioning with minimal nuisance alarms.
• Screening Equipment: Perform routine calibration and maintenance on X-Ray baggage scanners, Walk-Through Metal Detectors (WTMD), and Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems (UVSS).
• Intercoms: Support IP-based intercom and public address systems.
Technical Requirements:
• Proven experience with industrial-grade VMS (e.g., Secure Logiq or similar).
• Knowledge of fiber optic sensing technology for perimeter security.
• Ability to read and interpret security system schematics and site layouts.
Qualifications / Experience:
• Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Electronic Security Systems, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Power sector.
Shift Work: Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts


Fire Fighting Mechanical Technician

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the maintenance of water-based fire suppression systems, including high-capacity fire pumps and distribution networks. The role ensures that all mechanical life-safety equipment operates according to NFPA 20, 25, and 13 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fire Pump Testing: Conduct weekly/monthly churn tests and annual flow tests for Diesel and Electric Fire Pumps.
• Water-Based Systems: Inspect and maintain Fire Hydrants, Monitors, Sprinkler systems, and Deluge systems.
• Portable Equipment: Perform monthly inspections and annual maintenance/refilling of Fire Extinguishers (CO2, Dry Powder) and Fire Hoses.
• Corrective Repairs: Execute mechanical repairs on valves, piping, and pump engines within the mandated 8-hour critical rectification window.
• Spare Parts: Monitor the Critical Spare Parts List (CSPL) for mechanical seals, gaskets, and pump components to minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
• Safety: Adhere to safety requirements and maintain full PPE compliance.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Vocational Training in Plumbing/Mechanical Systems.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection mechanical systems (Pumps/Hydrants) in large industrial sites.
• Skills: Proficiency in diesel engine troubleshooting (for fire pumps) and pipework integrity testing.
