Key Duties and Responsibilities
Menu Engineering and Development: Create, test, and update diverse menus (e.g., Asian, European, Continental) to meet customer preferences and current food trends.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food production, taste, and plating across all stations by personally inspecting dishes before service.
Financial Management: Manage food costs, negotiate with vendors, track inventory, and optimize staff scheduling to meet budget goals.
Staff Leadership and Training: Hire, train, and mentor a diverse kitchen team, ensuring consistent techniques across different culinary styles.
Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous sanitation protocols, such as HACCP guidelines, to ensure a safe, clean kitchen environment.
Operational Management: Direct daily kitchen operations, handle food orders, manage kitchen equipment, and resolve any operational issues swiftly.
Customer Interaction: Gather feedback on food quality and service to adjust menu items and improve the overall guest experience.
