🔎 About the Position
We are expanding our operations and seeking a highly competent Safety Engineer to strengthen our Health & Safety performance across all facility activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety systems that ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and international best practices.

🛡️ Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Systems & Compliance
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations, industry standards, and company requirements.
• Prepare and update risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and hazard identification studies (HAZID).
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
2. Operational Safety Oversight
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, work areas, and operational processes.
• Monitor high‑risk activities and ensure proper controls are in place.
• Verify the correct use of PPE and enforce safety rules across all departments.
• Support safe work permit systems (Hot Work, Confined Space, LOTO, etc.).
3. Incident & Emergency Management
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
• Maintain incident logs and prepare detailed reports for management and authorities.
• Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and readiness assessments.
4. Training & Awareness
• Deliver safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Develop training materials, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous engagement and communication.
5. Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to enhance safety performance and reduce operational risks.
• Recommend engineering and administrative controls to improve workplace safety.
• Support implementation of ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.) where applicable.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles (experience in hazardous waste, industrial operations, or heavy industries is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of national safety regulations and international standards.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
