Job Responsibilities
1. Understand the work permit:- Clearly understand the scope of work, hazards, and controls listed on the work permit.
2. Review and sign the permit:- Review the work permit carefully and sign it to acknowledge understanding of the work scope, hazards, and controls.
3. Ensure pre-job briefings:- Conduct pre-job briefings with the work team to ensure everyone understands the work scope, hazards, and controls.
4. Verify isolation and lockout/tagout:- Verify that equipment is properly isolated and lockout/tagout procedures are followed before starting work.
5. Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE):- Ensure that all personnel involved in the work wear the required PPE.
6. Monitor work progress:- Continuously monitor the work progress to ensure that it is being performed in accordance with the work permit and established procedures.
7. Report deviations or incidents-
Immediately report any deviations from the work permit or incidents to the supervisor or permit issuer.
8. Ensure work completion and permit closure- Ensure that the work is completed as specified in the work permit and that the permit is properly closed.
9. Maintain permit records- Maintain accurate records of the work permit, including any modifications, extensions, or cancellations.
10. Comply with company policies and procedures:- Comply with company policies and procedures related to work
permits, safety, and operations.
