Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer – QC with 8 years of proven expertise in quality control and inspection of mechanical systems and equipment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality procedures across site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform QA/QC inspections for mechanical works including piping, equipment installation, and fabrication.
2. Ensure all activities comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
3. Review and approve material submittals, inspection test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
4. Conduct site inspections and coordinate with contractors to resolve quality issues.
5. Prepare and maintain QC documentation, reports, and records.
6. Witness tests (pressure testing, hydrotesting, etc.) and ensure proper documentation.
7. Identify non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions.
8. Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in QA/QC for mechanical projects (oil & gas / construction preferred).
3. Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).
4. Experience in inspection, testing, and documentation processes.
5. Good communication and reporting skills.
6. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSWIP, API, or ISO) are an advantage.
