Assist the Safety Manager in implementing, maintaining, and improving the Safety Management System (SMS).
Participate in the reporting, investigation, and root-cause analysis of occurrences, ensuring timely follow-up and completion of corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and maintain safety risk assessments, ensuring compliance with EASA and IOSA standards.
Help create Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) and monitor alert levels for flight operations.
Collaborate with Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Maintenance & Engineering, and CAMO to assess risk controls and operational interfaces.
Support safety promotion and training initiatives to strengthen the organization’s safety culture.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending corrective actions.
Requirements:
Over 10 years of experience in the aviation industry, including aviation auditing, with knowledge of WFP procedures and operations being an asset.
Possession of a Commercial Pilot License, Aviation Engineering License, or Air Traffic Control License (or equivalent).
Completion of an Aviation Safety Management course or an additional qualification in Accident Prevention & Investigation is preferred.
Proficiency in English at level C is required, with additional language skills being a plus.
Familiarity with the WTP leadership framework, which defines common standards of behavior for collaborative missions.
A strong focus on improving organizational safety performance and learning from incidents, with the ability to perform under pressure.
