Job Summary

The Senior Presales Engineer is responsible for designing technical solutions, supporting the sales team, and ensuring customer requirements are translated into optimized, compliant, and competitive proposals. The role bridges the gap between client needs and technical delivery across IT infrastructure, ELV systems, and Data Center solutions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Presales & Solution Design
Analyze client requirements, RFPs, and tender documents
Design end-to-end solutions (Networking, Security, ELV, Data Center)
Prepare technical proposals, system architecture, and compliance sheets
Select appropriate vendors, models, and technologies
2. Proposal & Estimation
Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing sheets
Ensure alignment with Saudi market pricing and project budgets
Coordinate with suppliers for quotations and technical clarifications
Optimize solutions for cost vs performance
3. Sales Support
Work closely with the sales team to qualify leads and opportunities
Attend client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
Deliver product demos (networking, security, AV, and ELV systems)
Provide technical consultation to clients
4. RFP & Compliance
Review RFPs and ensure full compliance with specifications
Prepare compliance matrices and deviation reports
Recommend equivalent or better alternatives when needed
5. Vendor & Technology Management
Maintain relationships with vendors (Cisco, HPE, Dell, Fortinet, etc.)
Stay updated with the latest technologies and certifications
Evaluate new products and solutions
6. Handover & Project Support
Provide technical handover to implementation teams
Support the project team during execution if required
Ensure solution alignment with the delivered scope
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or related field
5–10+ years of experience in presales or solution engineering
Strong experience in:
Networking (Cisco, Aruba, etc.)
Security (Fortinet, firewalls)
ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, AV)
Data Centers (UPS, racks, storage, servers)
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical and commercial understanding
Excellent proposal writing and documentation skills
Experience in BOQ preparation and cost estimation
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to handle multiple tenders/projects simultaneously
Customer-focused with a problem-solving mindset
Preferred Certifications
CCNA / CCNP
Fortinet NSE
VMware / Microsoft certifications
