We are looking for an intermediate-level C&I Solar PPA and Tendering Engineer with 5–7 years of relevant experience, including hands-on experience in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will support the development, technical evaluation, tendering, pricing, and commercial structuring of commercial and industrial solar PV projects under long-term Power Purchase Agreement models.
The role requires strong coordination between business development, engineering, finance, legal, procurement, and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess commercial and industrial solar opportunities and review customer electricity consumption, load profiles, site conditions, and technical requirements.
Prepare preliminary system sizing, energy-yield estimates, layouts, equipment selection, and technical concepts for rooftop, carport, and ground-mounted solar PV projects.
Develop technical and commercial proposals for solar PPA, lease, and energy-service business models.
Prepare project cost estimates, bills of quantities, pricing schedules, and tender submissions.
Coordinate financial inputs, including energy tariffs, project CAPEX and OPEX, degradation, performance assumptions, contract duration, and expected savings.
Review RFPs, client specifications, contracts, and PPA requirements and prepare compliance matrices, clarifications, and tender responses.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, legal, finance, and business development teams to finalise proposals.
Support negotiations with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Conduct site visits and coordinate technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and interconnection requirements.
Maintain tender trackers, proposal schedules, risk registers, and submission documentation.
Support the transition of awarded projects from the tendering stage to engineering and project execution.
Ensure proposals comply with applicable Saudi regulations, utility requirements, technical standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
5–7 years of experience in solar PV, renewable energy, tendering, project development, or techno-commercial roles.
Relevant working experience in Saudi Arabia is required.
Practical experience in C&I solar projects and PPA-based business models.
Strong understanding of solar PV system design, energy generation, project costing, and commercial proposal preparation.
Experience with rooftop, carport, and ground-mounted solar PV projects.
Familiarity with tools such as PVsyst, HelioScope, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and proposal-management systems.
Good understanding of electricity bills, customer load profiles, energy tariffs, and project financial assumptions.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Arabic language capability is an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple proposals and work effectively under strict tender deadlines.
