RESUME OF EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Mirza Salem Baig is an experienced and versatile civil engineer with about thirty-eight (38) years of
practical experience from projects in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and in India. He has managed a number of
projects related to project management, and site supervision. He is generally responsible for the overall
project management, like co-ordinating with clients, Quality Assurance on site, QC, etc.
His experience includes acceptance and inspection procedures, preparation and evaluation of tender
documents, monitoring progress of works, supervision, technical control and project management
related to works both in infrastructure facilities and new construction of both horizontal/vertical
structures. He worked in Quality Control for the implementation of horizontal (drainage systems, roads
& pavements) and vertical structures. He has gained wide experience in quantity surveying, supervision
works of various structures including buildings, infrastructure facilities, etc. This included works such
as monitoring the progress of works, quality assurance, quality control works, progress reports, interim
certificate of payments, checking shop drawings, and co-ordination between contractor and client.
From 1996, Mirza working with Alrabiah, he gained extensive experience in the project management,
and site supervision. He is generally responsible for the project management, and he was resident
engineer for some major clients such as, SWCC, MoD, RC, SABIC, AGOC, SAMREF, KJO, etc.

discipline engineers overlooking construction of MoF Exit facilities in Ruqee, along the
Kuwait Border. The facilities include construction of administration buildings, bachelor
housing, villas, stadium, parks, school facilities, etc. He was part of project management
team to monitor and supervise the works on site, maintain the quality of work, for
concreting works, civil works, etc.
2010 - 2012 He worked with a team of Alrabiah’s Construction Management team including all
discipline engineers overlooking various projects under RC Yanbu, viz. Construction of
Doctor’s Housing, Villas, Technical College, etc. He was part of project management
team to monitor and supervise the works on site, maintain the quality of work, for
concreting works, civil works, etc.
2002 - 2004 Project Engineer for inspection, assessment and recommendations for rehabilitation of 8
SWCC Power & Desalination Plants along the Red Sea on the West Coast of KSA. The
job included investigation, detail rehabilitation designs, and preparation of tender
documents for all the structures and piping (both on-shore and off-shore structures)
Client: SWCC (Saline Water Conversion Corporation).
2001 - 2002 Resident Engineer for rehabilitation of concrete structures such as causeway and Jetties
with cathodic protection to selected structures in Arabian Gulf Co-operation Company
(AGOC & AOC), at Khafji.

2000 - 2001 Resident Engineer for rehabilitation of concrete structures such as seawater cooling
structures and seawater cooling structures in SADAF and Royal Commission. The
project includes cathodic protection to seawater structures.

1999 Planning and execution of selected concrete sampling and testing on 15 sports facilities
throughout the Kingdom. The sampling programme included HCP measurements,
Rebound Hammer readings, extraction of concrete dust samples and concrete cores and
final reporting of the test results.
