📄 Job Description: Electrical & Mechanical Draftsman (2D Drawings)
🧩 Position Overview
The Electrical & Mechanical Draftsman is responsible for preparing high quality 2D technical drawings for electrical and mechanical systems based on project specifications, engineering sketches, and site requirements. The role requires strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and project managers.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Electrical Drafting
• Prepare 2D electrical layouts, including:
o Power layouts
o Lighting layouts
o Low current systems (CCTV, access control, data, fire alarm)
o Single line diagrams (SLDs)
• Update drawings based on engineer comments and site changes.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi standards, SEC requirements, and project specifications.
Mechanical Drafting
• Prepare 2D mechanical drawings, including:
o HVAC ducting layouts
o Plumbing layouts
o Drainage systems
o Firefighting layouts
• Convert engineer sketches into accurate technical drawings.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers for design updates and revisions.
General Drafting Responsibilities
• Maintain drawing accuracy, scale, and technical clarity.
• Prepare as built drawings after project completion.
• Organize and manage drawing files in a structured format.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
• Follow company drafting standards and templates.

📚 Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Drafting Technology.
• Minimum 2–4 years experience in 2D drafting (GCC experience preferred).
• Proficiency in:
o AutoCAD (mandatory)
o MS Office (basic)
• Strong understanding of MEP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and site sketches.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Experience with Saudi building codes, civil defense requirements, and MEP standards.
• Familiarity with construction workflows and site coordination.
