EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
ITI / Diploma in Electrical with 5+ years experience
3-5 years experience in oil & gas or process plant
Oil & gas experience is an advantage but not mandatory
Good technical knowledge & industrial/project experience required
Operation, maintenance & troubleshooting of electrical installations in process plant
Able to speak & accept instructions in English or Arabic
Healthy & physically capable of undertaking relevant work
KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
Sound knowledge of different voltage systems for industrial power distribution
Knowledge of electrical equipment installed in process plants
Basic knowledge of hazardous areas & relevant equipment use
Read & understand standard electrical symbols, drawings & nomenclature
Permit to Work & Hot Work Permits procedures
Operation & troubleshooting of starters, breakers, motors, drives & power distribution
Install mineral insulated cable, glanding techniques
Lighting fixtures installation including HPMV/Metal Halide fittings
Testing: Megger, Earth tester, Earth continuity/loop tester, Polarity tester, DC injection test set
Equipment isolation & safety procedures before work commencement
PPE, smoking regulations, security & emergency actions
