Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and support the growing needs of our e-commerce business. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in online accounting systems and a strong understanding of the financial workflows of digital retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily journal entries and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze project profitability based on data from online platforms.
• Reconcile supplier and customer ledgers.
• Track and validate cost of goods sold (COGS) using inventory data.
• Ensure alignment between warehouse stock movements and financial reporting.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts, resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare monthly AP and AR aging reports, and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to minimize errors and prevent fraud.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting, COGS tracking, and revenue recognition principles in a digital commerce context.
• Working knowledge of Saudi e-invoicing (فاتورة) regulations and ZATCA VAT compliance.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to extract actionable financial insights from e-commerce dashboards and ERP integrations.
• Bonus: Experience in industries such as construction and familiarity with platforms such as Zoho Books and accounting systems like Odoo is a plus.
