Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary:
Responsible for installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems and fire fighting systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational readiness at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Fire Alarm Systems:
• Install and maintain fire alarm systems (detectors, control panels, call points, sirens).
• Perform routine testing and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair fire alarm wiring and devices.
• Ensure systems comply with civil defense requirements.
• Maintain documentation of testing and maintenance records.
Fire Fighting Systems:
• Maintain fire pumps (jockey pump, main pump, diesel pump).
• Inspect sprinkler systems, hose reels, hydrants, and valves.
• Check fire extinguishers and ensure validity and pressure levels.
• Test fire suppression systems.
• Ensure pump rooms and fire equipment rooms are in good condition.
General Duties:
• Respond to emergency breakdowns.
• Coordinate with Civil Defense inspectors when required.
• Follow safety procedures and HSE policies.
• Prepare maintenance reports.
• Support emergency evacuation drills.
Requirements:
Education:
• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical or Fire Safety.
Experience:
•5 years experience in fire alarm and fire fighting systems.
• Experience with brands like Honeywell, Notifier, Siemens (preferred).
Skills:
• Knowledge of NFPA standards (preferred).
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
• Civil Defense approval (Saudi Arabia).
• NFPA courses.
• OSHA or HSE training.
