Facade Supervisor – Job Role & Responsibilities
Achieving Sustainability in Fa?ade
Key Responsibilities
Supervision of Facade Installation
Supervise daily fa?ade installation activities on site (curtain wall, glazing, cladding, aluminium panels, etc.).
Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Work Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Plan manpower, materials, and equipment required for fa?ade works.
Monitor work progress and ensure project timelines are met.
Quality Control
Inspect fa?ade installations to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
Identify and resolve installation defects or technical issues.
Ensure proper alignment, sealing, waterproofing, and finishing.
Health & Safety Compliance
Ensure all workers follow site safety rules and procedures.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks.
Monitor safe use of scaffolding, lifting equipment, and working-at-height practices.
Material & Equipment Management
Check incoming fa?ade materials for quality and quantity.
Ensure proper storage and handling of glass, aluminium, and cladding materials.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily work reports and progress updates.
Report issues, delays, or site challenges to the project engineer or manager.
Ensure inspection requests and approvals are completed.
Team Leadership
Guide and supervise fa?ade installers, technicians, and labourers.
Train workers on correct installation techniques and safety practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or technical certification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field.
3–7 years of experience in fa?ade or cladding installation.
Knowledge of curtain wall systems, glazing, aluminium fa?ade, and cladding systems.
Ability to read shop drawings and fa?ade details.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of site safety standards, especially working at heights.
Work Environment
Construction sites (commercial buildings, high-rise towers, malls, etc.).
Work often involves outdoor conditions and height-related activities.
