Job Purpose
The Boilermaker is responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining metal structures, plate work, pipes, chutes, hoppers, tanks, and heavy equipment components used in mining operations. The role supports safe and efficient plant, workshop, and field maintenance activities to ensure the continuous operation of the gold mining project.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate, cut, shape, fit, and assemble metal components as per drawings and job requirements.
Repair and maintain mining plant structures, crushers, chutes, hoppers, screens, tanks, piping, and other steelwork.
Carry out plate work, structural repairs, and replacement of worn or damaged metal parts.
Perform welding, grinding, gouging, flame cutting, and related metalwork activities.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
Install and align fabricated parts and structures on-site or in the workshop.
Requirements
Technical diploma, vocational training, or trade certificate in Boilermaking / Fabrication / Metal Work.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Boilermaker in mining, heavy industry, processing plants, or construction projects.
Experience in gold mining, mineral processing plants, crushers, conveyors, tanks, and structural steel repair is preferred.
