An Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the installation of electrical systems and equipment. This includes power generation, transmission, distribution systems, and industrial/control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems, layouts, and schematics
Prepare technical drawings, load calculations, and specifications
Supervise installation of cables, panels, transformers, and equipment
Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE)
Perform troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning
Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams
Optimize system performance and energy efficiency
Prepare reports, BOQs, and technical documentation
Electrical QC Inspector
An Electrical QC (Quality Control) Inspector ensures that all electrical installations and materials meet project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect electrical installations (cables, panels, transformers, grounding, etc.)
Verify work according to approved drawings, ITP (Inspection Test Plan), and standards
Conduct inspections:
Cable laying & termination
Panel installation
Earthing & lightning protection
Witness testing such as:
Insulation Resistance (IR) test
Continuity test
Functional testing
Raise NCR (Non-Conformance Report) for defects
Maintain inspection reports, checklists, and documentation
Coordinate with client, consultant, and construction teams
Ensure safety and quality compliance on site
