Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with 5–6 years of experience in
steel fabrication and erection projects. The candidate will be responsible for
preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing technical documents, and supporting the
tendering process for industrial and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review RFQs, drawings, specifications, and scope of work related to steel
fabrication, structural works, and erection activities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs from drawing.
• Analyze project requirements including materials, manpower, equipment, and
subcontracting needs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals in coordination with engineering and
project teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements
(e.g., SABIC, MA’ADEN, ARAMCO).
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.
• Maintain updated cost databases and estimation tools.
• Support project handover to execution team with detailed cost breakdown.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / relevant field
• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in estimation for steel fabrication and erection
projects
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, piping, and industrial fabrication processes
• Familiarity with Saudi market standards and industrial clients (SABIC, MA’ADEN,
ARAMCO preferred)
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
• Knowledge of material costing, fabrication rates, and erection methodologies.
• Good understanding of welding, NDT, and surface treatment processes.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in shutdown/turnaround (TA) projects
• Knowledge of ERP systems / SAP / procurement portals
• Familiarity with Primavera (basic level)
Key Responsibilities (SRC-Specific Value Add):
• Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams.
• Ensure alignment with client-specific requirements and TBC clarifications.
• Support preparation of single-line commercial proposals and detailed breakdowns.
• Contribute to fast-track bidding and urgent project estimations.
