A dedicated and safety-focused Fire Watcher / Standby Man with strong knowledge of fire prevention, confined space safety, and emergency response procedures. Responsible for monitoring hot work activities and ensuring a safe working environment by identifying hazards and taking immediate action to prevent accidents.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
Monitor all hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding.
Identify and eliminate potential fire hazards before and during work.
Ensure proper availability and readiness of fire extinguishers.
Perform continuous gas testing (Oxygen, LEL, H₂S, CO) in confined spaces.
Maintain constant communication with workers inside confined spaces.
Stop work immediately if any unsafe condition is observed.
Assist in emergency response, evacuation, and rescue operations.
Ensure all workers are using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Follow all HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) rules and company procedures.
Keep the work area clean and free from combustible materials.
