Job Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced Safety Process Engineers to support an emergency shutdown project at a refinery. The assignment is expected to run for approximately 2–3 months and will involve critical safety and process support during the shutdown phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safety and process engineering support during refinery shutdown activities
Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and industry standards
Identify, assess, and mitigate process safety risks during shutdown operations
Support HAZOP, risk assessments, and safety reviews as required
Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe execution of shutdown activities
Assist in incident prevention and promote a strong safety culture on site
Support safe startup and commissioning activities post-shutdown
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in a refinery or petrochemical facility
Strong background in process safety and engineering within oil & gas operations
Experience in shutdown/turnaround projects is preferred
Good knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and safety management systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
