The Aluminum Facade Architect/Engineer is responsible for the design, detailing, and execution of fa?ade systems including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, and aluminum systems. The role ensures technical accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and coordination with all stakeholders from design through installation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed fa?ade design drawings (shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings).
Design and detail:
Curtain wall systems
Aluminum cladding
Skylights and louvers
Glass and glazing systems
Ensure compliance with project specifications, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and international standards.
Perform fa?ade system calculations (wind load, thermal movement, structural performance).
Coordinate with:
Architects
Structural engineers
MEP teams
Main contractors and consultants
Review and approve material submittals, samples, and mock-ups.
Support procurement by specifying materials (aluminum profiles, glass types, sealants, fittings).
Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation and quality control.
Resolve technical issues during fabrication and installation phases.
Prepare method statements and technical reports.
Assist in cost estimation and value engineering of fa?ade systems.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
3–8 years of experience in aluminum fa?ade / curtain wall systems.
Strong knowledge of:
Aluminum systems (e.g., Sch?co, Reynaers, Technal, etc.)
Glass specifications and performance
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Revit / BIM
SolidWorks or similar (preferred)
Understanding of fa?ade performance standards (wind load, water tightness, air infiltration).
Familiarity with KSA regulations and international fa?ade standards.
