I am a Mechanical Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience as a Welding QC Inspector specializing in tank fabrication & erection, piping, and structural steel inspection.
*Key Qualifications:*
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certified
- ASNT NDT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT, VT
- 5 years site experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, and construction projects
*Core Experience:*
- Inspection of storage tanks per API 650/653: foundation to hydro-test, including fit-up, welding, and dimensional checks
- Piping inspection per ASME B31.3: material verification, fit-up, weld visual, and NDT coordination
- Structural steel inspection per AWS D1.1: raw material to final erection
- Review of WPS, PQR, WPQ and monitoring welder performance
- Witnessing NDT activities, review & interpretation of RT films, UT/MT/PT reports
- Preparation of inspection reports, punch lists, final documentation & MDR
- Familiar with international codes: ASME Sec V, Sec IX, API, AWS, ASTM
