Job Summary
The GIS Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Geographic Information System (GIS) projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role bridges technical GIS capabilities with business needs, ensuring successful implementation of spatial solutions, including web GIS, enterprise systems, and data integration platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end GIS project delivery (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure)
Manage project scope, timeline, budget, and resources
Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, and internal teams (developers, analysts, infrastructure)
Oversee GIS solution design including enterprise architecture, web GIS, and dashboards
Ensure integration with other systems (APIs, ETL tools, databases, third-party platforms)
Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies; propose mitigation plans
Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with standards
Manage vendors and external partners (e.g., GIS platform providers)
Prepare project documentation, reports, and executive presentations
Support pre-sales activities, proposals, and technical presentations when needed

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or related field
5–10 years of experience in GIS, with at least 3+ years in project management
Strong knowledge of GIS platforms such as ArcGIS (Enterprise, Online)
Experience with spatial databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial)
Familiarity with ETL and data integration tools
Experience in managing enterprise-level or government GIS projects
Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred
