The BMS Energy Control Panels Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing building management system (BMS) control panels used to monitor and control energy systems such as HVAC, lighting, and power distribution. The role ensures efficient energy usage, system reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:-
Install, wire, and commission BMS control panels and associated field devices
Perform routine maintenance and inspection of energy control systems
Diagnose and repair faults in control panels, sensors, actuators, and controllers
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and BMS schematics
Support integration of BMS with HVAC, lighting, and energy monitoring systems
Conduct system testing, calibration, and performance tuning
Ensure compliance with electrical and safety regulations
Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and system updates
Coordinate with engineers and facility teams for system upgrades
Required Skills:-
Strong knowledge of electrical control panels and circuits
Familiarity with BMS/SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider)
Basic understanding of PLC systems and automation controls
Ability to troubleshoot using testing tools (multimeter, insulation tester)
Knowledge of HVAC systems and energy management principles
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
