The Outpatient Department (OPD) Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients visiting the clinic for consultations, diagnostic tests, or minor procedures. This role involves triaging patients, assisting physicians during examinations, and ensuring a high standard of patient care in an efficient and organized manner.
Job Post Responsibilities
Patient Triage & Assessment: Initial assessment of patients, including recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and medical history before physician consultation.
Clinical Assistance: Assisting doctors during clinical examinations, diagnostic tests, and minor surgical or cosmetic procedures.
Medication Administration: Preparing and administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols.
Wound Care & Procedures: Performing wound dressings, suture removals, and administering injections or IV fluids as required.
Patient Education: Providing patients and their families with clear instructions regarding treatment plans, medication usage, and follow-up appointments.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient electronic medical records (EMR) and nursing notes.
Clinic Management: Ensuring consultation rooms are fully stocked with necessary medical supplies and that equipment is sterilized and functioning correctly.
Coordination: Coordinating with the laboratory, pharmacy, and insurance departments to facilitate smooth patient flow.
Work Environment & Benefits

Schedule: 8 hours daily, 6 days per week (On-site).
