KeyResponsibilities ies
❖ Perform and supervise rigging and lifting operations in accordance with approved lifting plans,
method statements, and safety standards.
❖ Inspect,select,and verify rigging equipment such as slings,shackles,wire ropes,hooks,and lifting
accessories to ensure proper certification and safe working condition.
❖ Conduct pre-use and periodic inspections,maintaining rigging logs and reporting defective or
unsafe equipment.
❖ Prepare loads by attaching,securing,balancing,and configuring rigging gear based on load
weight, center of gravity, and sling angle requirements.
❖ Coordinate and communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand signals and radio
communication for safe lifting execution.
❖ Assess site conditions,implement exclusion zones,and ensure barricading is inplace be fore any lifting
operation.
❖ Lead and support critical and complex lifts,including performing load calculations,selecting
rigging configurations, and adjusting sling angles when necessary.
❖ Guide and mentor junior riggers,ensuring proper work practices,safety awareness,and
compliance with rigging standards.
❖ Participate in tool box talks,risk assessments,and lift plan reviews with lifting supervisor sand HSE
teams.

❖ Ensure compliance with OSHA,ASMEB30,LOLER,and organizational HSE regulations
during all rigging and lifting activities.
❖ Coordinate manpower,equipment,and lifting resources to ensure timely and safe completion of site
lifting tasks.
