Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with a strong background in ONGC, MEP, and EPC contracting projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules while ensuring alignment with international standards followed by clients such as Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and Saudi Aramco.
This role demands expertise in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams in high-value infrastructure and oil & gas projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project for EPC & MEP works
Prepare and monitor detailed project plans, including engineering, procurement, and construction phases
Track project progress, identify delays, and implement recovery strategies
Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and clients to ensure timely execution
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients
Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation plans
Ensure compliance with ONGC standards and international project execution norms
Analyze critical path activities (CPM) and optimize project timelines
Support project managers in budget tracking and cost control
Interface with stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and client representatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering
Minimum 4–8 years of experience in Planning & Scheduling
Mandatory experience in ONGC / Oil & Gas / EPC / MEP projects
Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project
Strong understanding of EPC lifecycle and MEP coordination
Exposure to international project standards (preferably Middle East projects)
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with prior experience working on projects involving Saudi Aramco or similar international clients will be highly preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and reporting abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and HSE compliance standards
