Printing Machine Operator

• 1–3 years’ experience in flexographic printing.
• Ability to set up plates, adjust ink, and manage color registration.
• Experience with photopolymer plates and solving print problems.
• Set up printing machines according to job specifications (ink levels, plates, rollers, tension settings).
• Operate machinery such as Flexo printers, offset presses, gravure machines, or digital printers.
• Load raw materials including ink, cylinders/plates, films, papers, or substrates.
• Adjust machine settings for color, registration, pressure, and print quality.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning rollers, replacing plates, and checking ink systems.
• Troubleshoot printing issues such as misalignment, uneven colors, smudging, or mechanical faults.
• Assist maintenance technicians with major repairs as needed.
• Keep machinery in good working order to minimize downtime.
• Inspect printed products for defects, color accuracy, clarity, and alignment.
• Document production details and report any quality deviations.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization around the printing area.
• Handle inks, solvents, and chemicals safely according to guidelines.
• Communicate with supervisors, designers, and quality control teams regarding job requirements.
• Report machine performance, material shortages, and production issues.
• 1–3+ years of experience operating printing machines (Flexo, offset, digital, etc.).
• Strong understanding of inks, substrates, and color matching.
