PREFERRED INDUSTRY:
This role is a cornerstone of our operations, demanding a profound understanding of diesel
generator control, synchronization, and protection systems, ideally with Cummins or a similar
OEM brand. We recognize the value of candidate experience and should possess at least five
years of experience with OEMs.
EDUCATION: A Three-year electrical diploma or its equivalent is a must for this role, ensuring that
candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge to excel in this position.
CERTIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate should have undergone OEM-specific training for generator
control panels and synchronization controllers, preferably with PCC 3.3 or an equivalent
controller, setting a clear benchmark for the required qualifications.
TECHNICAL SKILLs:
• Practical experience with diesel generator control panels, including installation and configuration
(Power Command, Deep Sea Electronics, ComAp, Woodward).
• Expertise in synchronizing diesel generators, power distribution, and automatic voltage
regulation.
• Extensive knowledge of alternators (Stamford, Leroy-Somer) and protective systems.
• Familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SCADA systems.
• Skilled in reading electrical schematics, diagnosing faults, and performing root cause analysis.
• Install, commission, and test electrical equipment, which includes power generators and
automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on power generation equipment.
• Conducted load testing, verified the protection system, and troubleshot the alternator.
