Job Purpose
To perform inspection, maintenance, and repair works for diesel engines and related systems of trucks and heavy vehicles, ensuring fleet readiness, operational efficiency, and minimizing breakdowns and downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect and diagnose faults in diesel engines for trucks and heavy vehicles.
Perform scheduled preventive and periodic maintenance.
Repair engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and transmission systems.
Replace oils, filters, belts, hoses, and damaged spare parts.
Inspect and repair diesel pumps and injectors.
Handle gearbox, differential, and clutch repairs when required.
Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify technical issues.
Test vehicles after maintenance to ensure safe operation.
Prepare maintenance and repair reports for the maintenance supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness of the workshop, tools, and work area.
Comply with occupational health and safety procedures.
Immediately report major or recurring faults.
Coordinate with the operations department regarding vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
Diploma or technical certificate in Automotive Mechanics / Diesel Mechanics.
Preferably experienced in truck and heavy vehicle maintenance.
Good knowledge of modern diesel engine systems.
Ability to read and understand technical fault reports.
Ability to work under pressure in a field operational environment.
Experience
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance.
Experience in logistics and transport trucks is preferred.
Skills
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
