Role Summary
Level 1 (L1) Network Support Engineer responsible for first-line monitoring, support, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure to ensure stable and uninterrupted connectivity.
Core Responsibilities
First-level support for LAN/WAN network infrastructure
Monitoring network performance and link availability
Basic configuration support for:
Routers, switches, and access points
VLANs and IP addressing
Troubleshooting common network issues:
Connectivity and packet loss
DHCP, DNS, and gateway issues
Network port and cable faults
User support for network access issues (wired & wireless)
Ticket logging, issue tracking, and escalation to L2/L3 teams
Coordination with ISPs for link-related problems
Basic network documentation and port mapping
Routine health checks and preventive maintenance

TCP/IP fundamentals
LAN/WAN concepts
Switching & routing basics
DHCP, DNS basics
Wi-Fi troubleshooting
Fiber & copper cabling basics
Network monitoring tools
