We are a growing construction company seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Material Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing mechanical materials required for our construction projects while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and procure mechanical materials (HVAC, plumbing, piping, fittings, etc.)
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers for material requirements
• Track orders, deliveries, and inventory levels
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a buyer in construction or mechanical materials
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction materials
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
