➢ ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DURING EMPLOYMENT
❖ Manage all lifting operations on a BP petrochemical site selecting the
appropriate cranes for the relevant tasks.
❖ Providing lifting plans, method statements, risk assessment, rigging
diagrams and all calculations.
❖ Lead a team of riggers through simple and complex tasks providing
technical information.
❖ Work with cranes ranging from 25 ton to 1000 ton ensuring that all lifting
operations are according to safety regulations and that all riggers and crane
operators are competent.
❖ Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in all rigging and
lifting.
❖ Assist and determine the proper method of lifting equipment for each
assigned project.
❖ Assists with the set- up of crane.
❖ Conduct basic loading of heavy lift projects by rigging the crane equipment
and ensuring the proper use of each equipment method.
❖ Direct crane operators to move equipment to and from work areas.
❖ Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to
ensure efficient and timely completion of the project.
❖ Ensures that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and
materials.
❖ Prevents the misuse of equipment, materials and tools.
❖ Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures. Competent in reading and
understanding specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related
project and engineering documentation. Keeps records of all work
completed and completion of Action Lists?

methods of sliding and lifting equipment.
