Duties and responsibilities:
Project Planning: Interpret technical designs and blueprints, ensuring that construction aligns with the specifications.
Setting Out Work: Mark out the location of new structures and ensure the construction follows the planned dimensions.
Technical Support: Provide technical advice to the team on how to execute construction tasks.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that the materials and workmanship comply with the technical specifications and standards.
Project Documentation: Maintain detailed records, including drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
Coordination: Work closely with architects, consultants, and the project manager to resolve technical issues and plan out further construction phases.
Surveying: Conduct site surveys and take precise measurements to ensure the project stays aligned with its design.
Material and Equipment Management: Ensure that the correct materials and tools are used for each part of the construction.
Supervising Construction Activities: Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure they are executed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Labor Management: Manage and coordinate site workers, subcontractors, and resources. Ensure that labor is sufficient and properly organized.
Ensuring Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, local building codes, and environmental requirements.
Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the site to identify any potential issues, defects, or areas that need improvement.
Material Management: Monitor the use of construction materials and ensure that resources are used efficiently.
Reporting: Maintain records of site activities, daily progress, materials used, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise during construction, such as delays, technical problems, or quality concerns.
