Document Controller – Job Description (FM Project)
Role Overview:
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related documents in a systematic and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with client requirements and project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and manage all incoming and outgoing project documents (drawings, reports, contracts, correspondence).
• Ensure proper document control procedures are followed as per client and company standards.
• Track, log, and distribute documents using a document management system (DMS/EDMS).
• Maintain revision control and ensure only latest approved documents are in circulation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients for document submissions and approvals.
• Prepare and manage document registers, logs, and trackers (submittals, RFIs, transmittals).
• Ensure compliance with ISO/documentation standards where applicable.
• Support project team during audits by providing required documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper filing (hard & soft copies).
• Strong knowledge of document control systems and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
