We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Food Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and compliance across our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food safety practices, strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, and the ability to implement and monitor effective food safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with local food safety regulations and international standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, SFDA guidelines).
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, storage, and food handling areas.
Monitor hygiene practices of staff, including personal hygiene and proper use of PPE.
Implement and maintain food safety management systems and documentation.
Conduct food safety training sessions for kitchen and service staff.
Oversee temperature control, food storage, labeling, and expiry management.
Investigate food safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and pest control procedures are followed.
Maintain records of audits, inspections, and compliance reports.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, or related field (mandatory).
3–5 years of relevant experience in food safety, preferably in restaurants, hospitality, or food service operations.
Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
Familiarity with local regulations (e.g., SFDA requirements) is highly preferred.
Certifications (Mandatory/Preferred)
HACCP Certification (mandatory)
Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent (preferred)
ISO 22000 / Food Safety Management Systems (preferred)
