Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial and cost aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works. You will be responsible for accurate cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tendering, variation management, and cost control to ensure MEP packages are delivered within budget and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for all MEP services (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, BMS, Low Current Systems, etc.).
Review MEP drawings, specifications, and schedules to perform precise quantity take-offs and measurements.
Prepare tender documents, analyze subcontractor quotations, negotiate prices, and recommend awards.
Monitor and control MEP project costs, track variations, change orders, and prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
Manage interim payments, valuations, and final account settlements for MEP contractors and suppliers.
Identify and manage risks related to cost overruns in MEP works.
Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize MEP costs while maintaining performance and quality.
Liaise closely with MEP engineers, project managers, consultants, clients, and contractors on all commercial matters.
Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project specifications, and relevant international/local standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, etc.).
Support procurement strategy and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Quantity Surveyor specializing in MEP works.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, measurement methods (e.g., NRM, CESMM, or local standards), and contract forms (FIDIC, NEC, or local equivalents).
Proficiency in MEP-related software and tools:
AutoCAD / Revit (for drawing review)
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Estimating software (CostX, Candy, Bluebeam, or similar)

Professional certification (RICS, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Site experience and willingness to visit project sites regularly.
