Sr. Engineer (Planning & Cost Control)

Job Title: Sr. Engineer/Engineer – Any Discipline (Planning & Cost Control)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Engineer – Planning & Cost Control to support project execution through planning, cost control, subcontractor coordination, and commercial support, ensuring accuracy in cost tracking and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities

1. Planning & Cost Control
• Support ACE BOQ uploading and segregation of costs into appropriate cost packages.
• Assist in monthly cost booking and preparation of JCR (Job Cost Reports), including ETC updates.
• Support preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cost travel plans.
• Monitor budgeted vs. actual costs and support reporting to project management.

2. Subcontractor Management
• Support finalization of subcontractors for survey works, civil works for water and power packages, electrical works, testing & commissioning, and third‑party inspections.
• Assist in preparation of subcontract agreements / Letters of Award, including commercial terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for subcontractor approvals and mobilization.

3. Subcontractor Billing & Reconciliations
• Scrutinize and reconcile monthly subcontractor bills, including major subcontractors.
• Ensure timely certification and payment as per contractual terms and conditions.
• Carry out payment and material reconciliations, including free‑issue materials.
• Coordinate with Commercial and Finance teams for bill clearance.

4. Client Invoicing Support
• Support client invoicing activities by tracking billing milestones.
• Collect and verify supporting documents from Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
• Coordinate with Document Control for ACONEX submissions.
• Assist in preparation of invoicing plans and invoice status reports.

5. Coordination & Team Support
• Coordinate with Construction, Commercial, and Finance teams.
• Support onboarding and guidance of new joiners on project processes and systems.
• Ensure timely communication and followups to meet project schedules.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (as applicable)
• 3–8 years of experience in EPC projects (Oil & Gas / Power / Infrastructure / Solar)
