Review the construction Safety Management Plan submitted by EPC Contractor prior to commencement of work and check their compliance with respect to Contract documents and work requirements.
Inform Client and EPC Contractor regarding deviations and corrective actions, if any.
Review Hazard Identification and risk assessments (HIRA) for construction activities submitted by the contractor and mitigation plan for high-risk activities Carrying out regular workplace inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented by EPC contractor.
Also conduct regular Safety Audit at site, identification of unsafe act and unsafe conditions as per severity and adopting counter measures to make the site activity safe.
Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements. Ensure proper PPE’s are used by the workmen and site staffs of EPC Contractor.
Ensure all safety devices like fire protection, fencing etc. are provided by the contractor.
Review documents submitted by contractor for all equipment’s power tools and hand tools are in good condition, tested and certified by authorized agency.
Maintaining relevant documents as per site safety requirement.
Follow up on work permit systems and inspections, planning safety arrangements for workplace activities.
Review of SOWs (Safe operating procedures), OCPs (Operational control procedures), emergency preparedness & response plan submitted by the Contractor Organizing safety review meetings, tool- box talks, safety related training, awareness sessions/in-house training with relevant stake holders Prepare safety performance reports and submit to client
